I find an
individual approach for every student. Creativity and being a
fine musician is a part of a learning process.
To assure success in lessons, I would recommend to take early
childhood music classes that prepare your child to play piano.
Most of the younger children lack verbal skills necessary for
piano instruction.

FAQs

Q.
Do I need a keyboard or a piano for my child or myself to practice
lessons?
A. You need to have an acoustic, or at least an electric keyboard
with a feel of a real piano for lessons. During the first year,
if your budget is tight, a synthesizer will be enough. An electric keyboard is okay only
for the first year, buying either a good digital piano or accoustic piano
is encouraged during the second year of instrument study.
Q. How often will I need to tune my piano?
A. An acoustic piano requires tuning once or twice a year, an electric
piano needs no tune-ups.
Q. How old should my child be to play a guitar?
A. Most of my guitar students start at age of eight and half, when
they are ready for verbal instruction and have stronger fingers. You can buy child size insturuments at www.instrumentalsavings.com.
Q. What is a good age to start voice lessons?
A. There should be no hurry, some of my students are as young as
nine, some are older. Voice doesn't fully develop till you are an
adult. |
